SCOTT, Verlie age 80 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Hospice of Butler & Warren County. Born July 26, 1929 in Hueysville, Kentucky, Verlie was the son of Elbert and Mattie (Hoover) Scott and was retired from the General Motors Company in Dayton, Ohio where he worked as an inspector. Verlie was a loving and devoted husband and father who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Verlie leaves behind his loving wife, June (Williams) Scott of Lebanon, Ohio; son - Kim Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters - Melissa Blackwell of Middletown, Ohio and Carolyn Hoover of Kettering, Ohio; brothers - Cecil Scott and Doraine Sears and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Friends may call on the family Friday evening, November 6, 2009 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 12:00pm with Reverend Shannon Wooten officiating.
