Charles Kent Merriman, 57, of Zanesville, OH went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2009 after a long illness. He was born September 12, 1952, in Zanesville, OH the son of Charles L. and Mary Lou (Miller) Merriman. He was a Baptist by faith and was retired from Owens Brockway Glass. He was an avid sports fan; especially Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. In his spare time he spent time with his grandchildren and their activities. He is survived by his wife Carolyn S (Norman) Merriman of Zanesville, one daughter Stacey L Merriman of Columbus, and one son Brian K Merriman of Zanesville, six grandchildren, Tre, Shawnte, Desirae, Dre, Kyleah, and Rashaun Merriman; one sister Tamara Merriman of Zanesville, a brother Bradley M (Teresa) Merriman of Cincinnati, a host of nieces and nephews and several cousins. Preceded in death by his father Charles L Merriman, mother Mary Lou (Miller) Merriman, brother Kenneth “Rocky”Merriman, and special cousin William Kent. Friends may call Friday Oct. 30th at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. from 10am to11am with funeral services to immediately follow at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Terry F.
