Woodrow W. "Woody" Clifton, Sr. , 65, of Staunton, VA, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at AMC in Fishersville, VA. He was born May 1, 1939. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 16, 2005, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hamrick Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, January 17, 2005, at 11:00 AM at Augusta Memorial Park at 1775 Goosecreek Rd., Waynesboro, VA. Rev. Harold F. Fuller, Jr. will be officiating. Memorials can be sent to AMC Cancer Center or Staunton/Augusta Rescue Squad. Survivors include: Wife, Bettie Tolley Clifton of Staunton, VA, son Woodrow W. "Willie" Clifton, Jr., wife April, grandchildren, Brandyn Lynn & Bradley Wilson. A sister, Dottie Wright of Big Pine Key, FL, four brothers, Charles and Anne of Chesapeake, VA, William and wife, Micky of VA Beach, VA, James and wife, JoAnn of Madison, and Ronnie of Staunton, two sister-in-laws, Carolyn Robinson, husband, Frank, and daughter, Hillary of Lynchburg, VA, and JoAnne Carrier, husband, Eddie and son Daniel of Christiansburg, VA, and devoted friends, Roger Knicely, Bruce McClanahan, Heber Johnson, Chris Baker, and Terry Smith.
