Charles McDowell Charlie Adams, 50, of Crystal Beach passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at his home.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Bayvue United Methodist Church at Crystal Beach, Texas under the direction of Broussard`s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
Charles was known locally as Captain Charlie. He graduated from Beaumont High School in 1972 and attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. and graduated from Texas A&M Maritime College in Galveston. Charlie had a very compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Over the years, Charles provided food and necessities to many people who were down and out in the Crystal Beach area.

Charlie was a lifelong bachelor and was preceded in death by his parents, Frank M. Adams and Fredericka Atlgelt Adams of Beaumont. He is survived by his three brothers, Frank, Fred and Jimmy Adams as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
