"Joan Glisson Lucas, 82, of Connersville, died Friday, December 22, 2006, at her residence. A Connersville native, she was born July 5, 1924 to Jack and Charlotte Hanson Winness. She was a 1942 graduate of Connersville High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and had been employed at Leiters Department Store and Audrey`s Dress Shop, both formerly of Connersville. Survivors include a daughter: Diana K. Glisson of Connersville and a sister: Betty J. Winness of Connersville. Her parents, first husband: Robert Glisson and second husband: Howard Lucas, preceded her in death. Private graveside services were conducted in Everton Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Clark E. Hobby, pastor emeritus of New Castle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society, Everton Cemetery Association, or to the First United Methodist Church.
